Le premier jour se dit aussi avec le chiffre « 1 » « bir » :

Dans ce cas, le chiffre est suivi du suffixe de nombre « ordinal » -(i)nci (ıncı, üncü, uncu).
Si le nombre finit par une voyelle, il n’y a pas de voyelle devant le suffixe :
iki -> ikinci 2e
yedi -> yedinci 7e
Dikkat (attention)! Dört : t devient « d » devant un suffixe qui commence par une voyelle :

* Les mots « pazartesi » (lundi) et « cumartesi” (samedi) sont des noms composés :
Pazar + ertesi (dimanche + le lendemain)
-> Pazartesi (le lendemain de dimanche -> lundi)
Cuma+ ertesi (vendredi + le lendemain)
-> Cumartesi (le lendemain de vendredi -> samedi)
